Born in Rouen 5th. August, 1880, Henri Buron studied first in Rouen and later in Paris where he was a student of Francois Cormon and Albert Lebourg. A member of the Société des Artistes Française, he exhibited at various Salons from 1924 and was awarded a gold medal there in 1935. Buron won a variety of other awards and medals including at the Universal Exposition of 1937 and was later appointed professor at his old school, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rouen.
Examples of his work are held in Museums at Quimper and Rouen.
